TRUE NORTH DUELING PIANOS

TRUE NORTH DUELING PIANOS

An interactive, high-energy night of music, comedy, and crowd-powered entertainment comes to Waterloo!

Get ready, Uptown Waterloo—True North Dueling Pianos is bringing its first-ever show to Room 47 on Saturday, October 25. This unforgettable, audience-driven performance promises a night of music, laughter, and singalong energy that will have the entire room on its feet.

Doors open at 7:00 PM, with the show running from 7:30 PM – 9:30 PM. Tickets are only $29.95, and capacity is limited for an intimate, high-energy evening.

True North Dueling Pianos is more than just a concert—it’s an interactive musical experience where the crowd curates the setlist in real time. From classical virtuosity to modern chart-toppers—Liszt to Lizzo, Billy Joel to Billie Eilish—the duo takes requests, banters with the audience, and delivers a performance that is never the same twice.

The group has wowed audiences across Canada, partnering with the legendary Howl at the Moon brand to bring their unique brand of dueling pianos from coast to coast, and even internationally—from the Caribbean to the Netherlands. Their performances showcase both world-class musicianship and sharp comedic timing, as seen on Canada’s Got Talent.

“Every show is built by the audience,” says co-founder and performer Joel Lightman. “We don’t just play for the crowd—we play with them. By the end of the night, everyone’s singing, dancing, and laughing together. That’s the magic of dueling pianos.”

Whether you’re looking for a hilarious night out, a chance to belt your favourite songs with friends, or a front-row seat to jaw-dropping musicianship, True North Dueling Pianos delivers an experience like no other.

Kyle Bergstresser

Kyle Bergstresser

Kyle Bergstresser is a goofy man with a lot of opinions about ghosts & dads & small towns. He's weird but not in a gross way. Enormous energy, but not in an angry way. He's the kind of comedian that wants you to laugh til you cry and doesn't care if you "learned anything". A nice mix of Rory Scovel, Andy Samberg and Tim Robinson. He's just a lot of fun!

Faraz Niafattah

Faraz Niafattah

Faraz Niafattah is a Toronto-based standup comedian whose deadpan delivery and colourful choice of words leave audiences wanting more. He is often described as a crowd favourite for his relatable humour. Faraz can be seen regularly at many Comedy Clubs across the country, and he’s performed at Just for Laughs Toronto, Don’t Tell Comedy, as well as The Haymaker Comedy Festival. In 2024, he was featured at the Vail Comedy Festival in Denver, Colorado, and the Limestone Comedy Festival in Indiana, as well as on CBC’s Laugh Out Loud network.
